REMANUFACTURED PARTS
Remanufacturing is the most thorough method of renewing parts. It involves the complete disassembly and cleaning of the components and then a complete set of new parts are used to replace wearable internal parts regardless of age, wear or mileage. By contrast, "rebuilt" or "reconditioned" parts may be disassembled but only worn, broke, or missing parts are repaired or replaced. The UNISOURCE Reman Parts Program includes several commodities - alternators, starters and water pumps, engines, transmissions, electric motors, armatures, torque converters and control cards.
Alternator
Endurance testing helps confirm the quality of UNISOURCE Reman products.
Control Cards
The control card is the brain of the electric lift truck control system and is critical for proper performance. High quality parts are used to replace worn and aged components.
Electric Motors/Armatures
Our UNISOURCE Reman electric motor program maintains product integrity through a comprehensive quality approach:
- 100% new or remanufactured armatures, bearings, brushes,
fields and shafts
- 100% in-process testing of armatures/field coils
- 100% load tested complete motors
- 100% tested to O.E.M. equivalent specifications
Engines
A complete disassembly and cleaning of the engine core and components is followed by the installation of new parts including pistons, rings, bearings, lifters, valves and valve springs, among others. After passing a thorough inspection, the block, heads, rods, camshaft and crankshaft are machined to manufacturer's specification. After reassembly, the engines are then critically tested with inspections to major performance areas.
Reman Plus
For a nominal fee, Reman Plus provides the benefits of travel time and labor, in addition to the standard UNISOURCE Limited Warranty for remanufactured components.
Starters
Remanufacturing involves the complete disassembly, cleaning of the component and complete replacement of wearable internal parts.
Transmissions
Each reman transmission receives parts that meet O.E.M. quality.
Warranty Advantage
If a Reman Plus component must be replaced within the 6-month, unlimited hours from date of first use warranty period, even the cost of labor to remove or replace the part can be recovered when Reman Plus coverage is purchased.
